Message From The USG Committees

Dear Delegates,

I’m so excited to be able to welcome you to SSUNS 2007!  This section of the website contains everything you need to begin preparing for your role as a delegate to the United Nations.  Whether you are an experienced Model UN delegate or attending your first conference, I hope you will find the information listed here both helpful and informative.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Reinventing Diplomacy.” This year’s committees list shows that despite the multifaceted problems faced by the international community, humanity’s desire for peace and security facilitates the creation of new ways in which people can come together with the goals of improving our world.

This section of the website contains resources that will assist you in researching both your committee and your country’s position on topics.  Team Committees will be working throughout the year to expand our links database, post individual committee background guides and add more information to this section, so keep checking back! If you need help finding information or have questions regarding any part of the Committees portfolio, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
