Instance permanente des Nations Unies sur les questions autochtones

Briser la Chaine: Assurer l’Autonomie des Autochtones et Promouvoir les Droits des Premières Nations

Committee Description

The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues will focus on breaking the cycle of marginalization by ensuring Indigenous autonomy and promoting the rights of First Nations. This forum will address the ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous communities, including the preservation of cultural heritage, access to land, and self-determination. Delegates will work on strengthening policies and frameworks that protect the rights of Indigenous peoples, advocating for their inclusion in decision-making processes and ensuring their voices are heard in global discussions on human rights, development, and sustainability. The goal is to empower Indigenous communities and create pathways for lasting change and justice.
