Double Delegation: Strengthening Support for Healthcare Workers in Emerging Markets
Committee Description
As the frontline responders to everyday public health issues, pandemics, and humanitarian crises, healthcare workers form the very backbone of society’s well-being. However, the unique environment these individuals work in increases their vulnerability to physical deterioration, psychological fatigue, and workplace issues. This World Health Organization double delegation committee will explore the distinctive obstacles these vital people face, specifically in the context of emerging markets. The healthcare systems of emerging markets experience resource limitations, higher disease burdens, and increased workplace risks. Discussions will dive into the particular experiences of these workers, the structural challenges that shape these, and the need for stronger protection, support, and long-term sustainability within these healthcare workforces. Delegates will bring solutions to life with the ultimate goal of supporting those who protect global health.
